Student Assessment
NGT Counseling offers students an initial analysis as an integral part of crafting an individualized action plan with clear objectives. During this preliminary student assessment, you and your educational consultant will identify your strengths and areas for improvement by examining your academic record, test scores, and other pertinent factors. To optimize the efficiency of your session, it is recommended to submit all required documents in advance for thorough review and to prepare any questions you may have. Typically lasting between one to two hours, the session is a crucial step in our service process. It’s important to note that all services provided by NGT Counseling include this initial student assessment within the packages, with no additional charges.
Educational Consulting Services Grades 8-10
We tailor our services to equip you for success in high school and to position you on a trajectory toward college readiness. Our sessions are designed to support you in becoming a competitive college applicant. Working closely with your educational consultant, you may engage in various tasks, such as analyzing academic records, structuring class schedules, managing test registrations, crafting a résumé, strategizing extracurricular activities, honing study skills, and formulating a comprehensive action plan.
Grades 11-12
Our services are centered on guiding you in making informed choices while effectively managing both academic and extracurricular responsibilities during the college application process. Together, we will collaborate to create a college list that takes into account your career aspirations, financial considerations, family preferences, and cultural factors. During sessions with your educational consultant, you may engage in various tasks, such as developing essays, reviewing college or financial aid applications, and refining your résumé. Discussions may cover topics like college majors, career interests, essay revisions, class scheduling, test registration, recommendation letters, and study strategies. Additionally, we will work on formulating an action plan that optimally utilizes your time between sessions.
Post-secondary
Our post-secondary applicant services are customized to assist you in achieving your current goals and interests. The action plans and strategies we develop are specifically geared toward pursuing a particular field of study or industry. Our focus places greater emphasis on career counseling and planning to ensure that you are well-prepared for your chosen path beyond the educational setting.

We have developed a pricing model with the goal of providing educational and career counseling at an affordable rate. The duration required for admission and scholarship applications can vary based on factors such as your writing skills, level of effort, clarity of goals, the quantity of applications, and your starting point in the application process. NGT Elite ™
Students opting for this comprehensive package will benefit from up to 75 hours of dedicated college admission counseling and application assistance. This extensive support is particularly suited for those applying to highly competitive universities, including the Ivy Leagues, which often involve lengthy applications with supplements and/or a résumé. Additionally, general information about financial aid will be provided upon request.
NGT Comprehensive ™
For students in need of extensive assistance and guidance throughout the college admission process, our package offers up to 50 hours of counseling and application support. This option is particularly well-suited for those who require a substantial amount of assistance. Upon request, general information about financial aid will also be provided.
NGT Standard ™
Students seeking comprehensive support and guidance throughout the college admission process can benefit from up to 30 hours of counseling and application assistance. This option is well-suited for self-motivated students who are looking for overall guidance. Upon request, general information about financial aid will also be provided.
NGT Complete Essay ™
Students can access up to 20 hours of comprehensive support for developing college essays, covering everything from the initial stages to completion, including general Common App essays and supplemental essays. Throughout this process, students will acquire valuable skills and strategies essential for independently crafting high-quality application essays in the future. This option is suitable for students who have either completed their applications or are receiving assistance with the college application process elsewhere but require specific help with their college essays.
NGT Scholarships
Students can avail themselves of scholarship application assistance, covering tasks such as eligibility evaluation, essay development, application review, and more. This service is particularly beneficial for students incorporating multiple scholarships into their financial aid strategy.

NGT Beyond College offers a package for college graduates and individuals seeking up to 20 hours of support in applying to academic and employment opportunities. Tailored for self-motivated applicants capable of working independently, NGT Beyond College provides individualized guidance and support.
Advocacy Services
Our advocacy services are available to students of all abilities, encompassing those with and without special needs, across all educational levels from pre-K through graduate school. These services are offered on an hourly basis, tailored to address each student’s individual needs. Past clients at NGT Counseling have utilized advocacy services for a range of issues, including financial aid, academic probation, school admissions, learning disabilities, educational accommodations (e.g., IEP, 504 plan), LD assessments, and college entrance testing.
